Regulation

Articles 3 to 7 of the Act of 17 January 2003 on the status of the regulator of the Belgian postal and telecommunications sectors are the legal foundation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications. In various articles of the Act of 21 March 1991 on the reform of certain economic public companies and of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications the set of tasks of the Committee is extended.

By virtue of Article 3, § 2, of the Act of 17 January 2003 the royal decree of 14 June 2006 organising the composition and operation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications was promulgated.

Pursuant to article 1 of the Royal Decree of 14 June 2006 organising the composition and operation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications the ministerial order of 12 September 2012 nominating the members of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications was decreed. 
Pursuant to article 2 of the Royal Decree of 14 June 2006 organising the composition and operation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications the ministerial order of 12 September 2012 nominating the chairman of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications was decreed.

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Royal Decree of 14 June 2006 establishing the composition and operation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications, the Consultative Committee drew up its Rules of procedure in the plenary meeting of 26 September 2007.
The Rules of procedure were then completed at the plenary meeting of 12 June 2013.

Pursuant to article 2 of the Royal Decree of 14 June 2006 organising the composition and operation of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications the ministerial order of 19 September 2013 nominating the chairman of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications was decreed.
